Today it has been one month since mommy died. Being here in India gives me so many opportunities for reflection and I often think that life is so different here, and even if I were at home, life is also different there. Many of us are learning about life without Pat, mommy, grandma, honey bunch, or the lady who walks all over town.
Gratitude, for all that she has taught me. Gratitude for how interested she was in the world around her and her commitment to making the world a better place. Gratitude for her playfulness. Gratitude for how much she payed attention to taking good care of herself and to living a healthy life. Gratitude for all the love she shared with me and for all the help she has given me in my life. Her wisdom will be with me and hopefully growing over the years ahead. Let's hope so.
May we all remember to share with others how much they matter to us personally. A freind of mine said, Life is short but the days are long. Each day brings me new opportunities for growth.
