Just finishing up my stay in Bangalore. It has been a fairly relaxing and interesting visit. The people I'm staying with are part of the co-counseling community in India, and there were 25 young adults who wanted to learn more about what I call "family work."
Patty has written some pamphlets on "special time" and others on listening to children. They have been translated into Tamil, so I was alble to do a workshop with this group and explain and practice the ideas. It was really a fun weekend for me.
Bruce is coming into town soon, and we leave tonight on a sleeper train for Trivandarum, in Kerala.
What lies ahead?

Hi Sara -
Kerela! That means Land of the Coconuts! There should be lots of good fruit there to eat. Years ago a friend was researching the cheapest places to live & Kerela was high on the list of good spots because of the education, sanitation and low cost of living. Look forward to hearing about it.
Hope you're eating well and getting plenty of exercise.
Your letters are wonderful! We can practically smell the place. It's wonderful to have this record of this great adventure of yours. Carry on and god speed, and I'll be writing again. Going to be now after a wonderful dinner at Cynthia's house with Jeremy, John and Christohper, and where I learned how to make enchiladas. What are you eating there?
Lots of love,
Tashie
I absolutely cannot tell you how much I love reading your blogs with the selected photos. You give such wonderful details of the searching, discovery and satisfaction of each encounter. The change since you were there last must be so profound, yet you're managing to make such wonderful personal connections.
Tonight I bookmarked your blog on Tashie's computer and taught her how to find it on her own, so she can access it independently.
I am SOOOOOOO glad you decided to go through with this trip. Truly the chance of a lifetime ... and Mommy would be pleased too.
XOXO
Cynthia
